Are you ready to use your construction management experience to make a difference in your community by making homes energy efficient?
Spectrum Community Services, a Bay Area nonprofit, needs a savvy Operations Manager who can grow our Weatherization Department into a green enterprise ready to compete in the private sector.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service ability, good judgment (both management and technical), and the skills and high standards to guarantee excellent fit and finish in every job. Be ready to hit the ground running with inventory control, hold subcontractors and workers accountable, and improve job start-to-finish times.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day Weatherization activities to ensure that production goals are met and consumers receive highest quality service.
• Supervise the activities of Installers, Assessors and Weatherization office staff; maintaining a culture of continuous quality improvement and accountability.
• Oversee daily coordination of scheduling, work orders, deliveries and installations; Perform inspections.
• Ensure the timely completion of all office support functions, including costing, invoicing and data entry.
• Ensure adherence to proper maintenance and safety procedures for all equipment, vehicles and materials.
• Work with Spectrum team to plan and grow a green enterprise.
Qualifications:
• Two years experience in construction supervision and/or management.
• Effective trainer, teacher, mentor and manager.
• Solid scheduling experience and ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
• Technical and functional skills in building trades and construction management.
• Able to work in diverse communities (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, age, transgender, class, etc.); bilingual/bicultural a plus.
• Skilled in working with homeowners and tenants.
• Solid writing and computer skills; cost estimation, budgetary, data management skills.
• Results oriented problem solver.
• Well organized, self-directed and highly motivated.
Compensation:
This position has significant upward potential. Starting salary between $71,500-$102,500 depending on qualifications. Complete benefits package.
