APCO Worldwide, a global communication consulting firm, is seeking a mid-level communication professional with expertise in corporate responsibility, communication, and programming.
Position Overview:
This individual will be responsible for managing projects and budgets, serving as a day-to-day client contact, developing and executing corporate responsibility strategies and programs, including conducting targeted media relations, stakeholder mapping and engagement, issue management and identifying partnership opportunities and conducting outreach to nongovernmental organizations (NGO), governments, development organizations and corporations.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have previous employment in corporate responsibility within a corporation, communication consultancy, development agency, and/or NGO, as well as project management experience, strong research skills, with the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines.
The candidate should understand current corporate responsibility trends and themes and be willing to engage with and have an aptitude for building relationships with the media.
The candidate should have a minimum of 4-6 years of directly related experience. In addition, a successful candidate will ideally have some international experience/perspective. Bachelor's degree required.
