Description

The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), a Washington DC-based nonprofit that administers credentialing programs related to the practice of green building, in particular the LEED Professional Accreditation program, is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong customer service skills to support its management of the LEED credential.

The Accreditation Associate will provide support, guidance, and administration for those seeking accreditation and continuing education, and support for the accreditation program and its committees.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Counsel and assist individuals through the process for accreditation and continuing professional development.
  • Maintain accreditation records as well as candidate related documents and materials.
  • Preparing mailings of LEED Accredited Professional certificates and letters.
  • Maintain inventories of collateral material and coordinate reprints as needed.
  • Provides logistical support for committee events and exam development sessions.
  • Assist with Continuing Professional Development program.
  • Prepare letters, reports, presentations and assist with surveying and industry research.
  • Other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Must posses the sound judgment, professionalism, and reliability needed to support exam candidates and safeguard all confidential information.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
    • General understanding of relational databases. (e.g., Access)
    • Eye for detail and ability to quickly locate candidate records
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills
  • Good grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Good people skills, ability to find solutions to difficult situations and respond in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
