EAPC is a rapidly growing, full-service consulting firm with a staff of nearly 100 professionals with offices in Grand Forks, Fargo, Bismarck, and Jamestown, North Dakota, Bemidji, Minnesota, and most recently in Norwich, Vermont.
EAPC is a sales agent for NRG Systems wind monitoring equipment and is also the exclusive North American (US and Canada) sales and support agent for WindPro, the world's leading software tool used in te design of wind farms. We are experts in the use of the software, using it daily in our consulting work as well as teaching others to use it.
Position Overview:
EAPC is currently seeking experienced candidates for a full-time Wind Resource Analyst, to be based at the Grand Forks, ND headquarters. The position will report directly to the Managing Partner responsible for the Wind Energy Group.
Responsibilities of the Position Include:
- Perform energy yield analyses for potential wind generation plant sites
- Perform wind resource analyses and capacity factor estimations for potential wind generation plant sites
- Perform site classification and design studies
- Review and comment on third-party contracts, studies, permits, and other documents
- Identification of project risks
- Supervise the installation of meteorological towers throughout the country
- Uphold company standards in all work
Candidates are Required to Possess the Following:
- Between 2-4 years of direct wind resources analysis experience
- Working knowledge of early state site development, fatal flaw analysis, and other related issues as relate to wind energy development
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time within the US to various potential wind generation sites
- Willingness to assist in met tower installation and repair in the field as needed
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel and MS Word
- Proficiency in WindPro, WAsP, WAsP Engineering, ArcView, XMap, or other related wind resource modeling software
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering documents, such as site layouts, AutoCAD documents, etc.
- High tolerance for continually developing processes and changing procedures; interest in growing a role and a department within a rapidly growing international organization
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; ability to easily explain technical concepts to others
- Willingness to continue to develop additional or more advanced software skills
Preference May be Given to Candidates who Possess the Following:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent international study in a technical wind energy field such as Engineering or Meteorology
