Description

Drew University seeks a full-time staff person to serve as coordinator of university sustainability programs and initiatives.

The Campus Sustainability Coordinator will work under the direction of the University Sustainability Committee with various campus groups to help create, develop and enhance sustainability programs across the University to reduce the campus impact on the environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • supporting existing initiatives
  • educating the community about sustainability issues
  • related research
  • development and maintenance of a Campus Sustainability website
  • orientation of new students, staff and faculty on sustainability

The Coordinator will also work closely with student groups (of all three schools of the University) and conduct residence hall programs on sustainability, support student environmental initiatives and communicate frequently with the University community about on-going sustainability issues and efforts on campus.

This is an excellent opportunity to have a major impact on the University's new initiative and commitment to sustainability both through programs directly designed to reduce the environmental footprint of the campus and through educational activities, and thus on all the stakeholders of the University.
