Responsibilities:

* Through work with Program Finance and Program colleagues, manage grant due diligence to identify project risks and opportunities and provide recommendations on grant structure, risk mitigation and monitoring.
* Collect, organize, and store financial data and reports of prospective and active grants, including budget review. Ensure grantees' financial information is complete and accurate. Provide initial review and analysis of prospective grantee organizations' financial documents and project budgets.
* Assist with financial aspects of grant monitoring activities, including report review and follow-up
* Summarize and communicate findings through narratives and financial reports. Support Program Finance ongoing activities and special projects:
* Maintain grant-management database. Ensure accuracy in database and maintain updated records. Produce ad-hoc reports and conduct analysis as needed.
* Research issues related to financial aspects of grants, program areas, and initiatives to inform decisions.
* Participate actively in team meetings. .
* Serve as a liaison to other functions of the Foundation, including providing coaching support to program colleagues.
* Provide support for department-sponsored trainings including editing/proof-reading materials, production of materials, and leading portions of training.

Qualifications:

* BA degree and 2+ years work experience preferred.
* Interest and experience in reviewing financial statements and budgets, with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
* Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks in a collaborative team environment.
* Exposure to client service and project-team environments.
* Independent self-starter with the ability to learn new concepts quickly. 
* Written, oral, and graphic communication skills.
* Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient. 
* Team player with positive attitude.
* Spanish and or Portuguese language skills a plus. 
* Strong computer skills, specifically in Excel and Powerpoint.
