Wind Energy Financial Analyst/ Modeling

Position Overview: 

Our rapidly growing client seeks an entrepreneurial minded financial analyst to track and model deal flow in the development pipeline - today over 4,000 MWs. The company is financially secure/well-funded with a large supply of purchased turbines - two critical elements of this market space.

This strategic position will report directly to the vice president of development as an integral member of the team. Will also interface with other P&Ls (Construction and O&M) to incorporate long-term cash and value pieces within individual LLCs. This career position could also lead to more senior positions within development or other alternative energy niches.

The person who will be most successful and happiest in this position:

• Desires a future with a strong sense of strategic purpose.
• An experienced financial analyst who feels a lack of potential growth where they are at today. Perhaps they are capped on compensation and have no immediate path to fully utilize their talents and expertise. Or, they wish entry into the renewable energy field.
• Has strong team building and negotiation skills. Plus the ability to work with and through quite a bit of on-going ambiguity - due to the inherent nature of a growth business, and the wind industry itself. 
• oral and written communication skills. Strong financial acumen.
• Someone who has done complex modeling using filters to get projects to go or no go status in quick succession. A strong knowledge of greenfield development, energy projects, and real estate a plus
• Has experience as a winner and has been rewarded for performance.
• Thrives in a new project launch and real estate/energy environment.
• A BS in finance, accounting, economics or business desired.
• A CPA with a Big 4 or regional accounting firm sought.
• An MBA with a named school adds to their negotiating position.
• Has strong analytical ability with project management background and knows the importance of details and process. An Excel expert.
