Are you interested in knowing more about how our consumer choices impact the environment? Do you enjoy using the internet to do research and learn? Are you enough of an eco geek to help build the best Green Knowledge Database (GKDB) of greener choice products?
Plan-it Hardware has kicked off the Green-It-Yourself" Revolution as a part of our mission to green the hardware industry and we need your help! We are offering internships to treehugging hippies who would like to build their greener skills and gain experience in green business development.
You will need to be able to use the internet to do at least 10 hours of online research per week. Good written and verbal communication skills are needed. It helps if you are familiar with finding information on the internet and if you like searching around online for the answers to questions. It is important to be totally self-disciplined, self-directed and have excellent time management skills. You definitely need to be an independent and critical thinker. Experience with wholesale distribution, hardware or even green topics are not necessary, but they are a plus.

Internships are unpaid. Career opportunities are available. Academic credit can be arranged through an accredited college or university. All internships are telecommuting (you will need access to a computer with internet and the Firefox browser). Interns are required to send weekly reports via email and to do their own data entry in our GKDB online. You can create your own schedule.
