Program: Outcomes Monitoring Support Program
The Intervention Monitoring Coordinator will manage monitoring requirements for grantees of the Global Conservation Fund (GCF). The GCF seeks to "finance the creation, expansion and management of protected areas in biodiversity hotspots and wilderness areas". The Coordinator will be an integral team member of the GCF and have primary responsibility for compiling information for the team.
Responsibilities:
Manage relationships with GCF grantees to ensure delivery of data relevant to the monitoring requirements for the GCF. Ensure data quality and timely input into data management systems. Lead the development of specific data modules to house information coming in from grantees. Maintain the data management platform and modify it to ensure continued relevance, ease of use and ability to create meaningful reports. Ensure data integrity and accurate flow of data from project reports and other sources to database. This position may have some responsibility in giving direct technical support to grantees to ensure delivery of conservation results.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2 years
REQUIRED SKILLS & CAPABILITIES: Database management experience. Proficiency in English and at least one other language (Spanish, Portuguese, French). Attention to detail. Ability to analyze data and communicate findings to internal and external audiences.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Master's degree in relevant field (biology, ecology, conservation, environment, resource economics, etc.) Some field experience in the developing world and/or experience with a conservation or research project highly desirable.
