Executive Assistant Internship

EcoVentures International (EVI) is a small DC based non-profit with programs in Africa and the USA. We envisions a world of sustainable communities and sustainable livelihoods. Our vision is born out of the recognition that economic, social, environmental, and generational sustainability rely upon each other. Our mission is to inspire, connect, mentor, and train community members, especially youth, to develop as socially and environmentally committed entrepreneurs, and ambassadors of sustainable development.

EVI is in need of an Executive Assistant Intern to support the Executive Director with the following: coordinating primary tasks, managing meetings, coordinating travel plans, organizing events, assisting with Board development and management; general administration: including drafting letters, coordinating mailings, maintaining program files and contact databases. 

Qualifications: 

- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent administrative and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and successfully meet deadlines
- Computer savvy -h Initiative, enthusiasm, drive, and curiosity
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and on a team
- Interest in innovative and sustainable development work and environmental entrepreneurship
- Management skills a plus. 

Commitment: A minimum of 20 hours weekly commitment for 3 to 6 months. (30 hour commitment preferred) Start date: Immediately. This is an unpaid internship. A travel stipend could be negotiated.
