Zhena's Gypsy Tea is an extremely dynamic and fast growing Organic, Fair Trade Tea Company which has national and Canadian distribution in foodservice, natural and grocery retail, as well as gourmet outlets. Our good fortune and expansive growth has created the opportunity for a dynamic person to join our tribe in the capacity of Vice President of Sales. 

Position Summary 

The Vice President of Sales is responsible to manage the Company's sales throughout North America and Canada. 

Our Vice President of Sales needs to manage brokers, maintain and strengthen our relationships with retail and foodservice distributors, build strong alliances with our retailers, foodservice and grocery executives, attend trade shows as well as interface with store level employees. 

Minimum Requirements: 

1. Have a sense of humor, be charming, organized and energetic
2. Have strong verbal and written communication skills
3. Minimum of 8-10 years experience in foodservice and retail sales working with distributor and broker networks.
4. Have pre-existing relationships with brokers, distributors and large retailers
5. Maintain large chain accounts
6. Initiate and manage various promos, deals, and specials to increase sales
7. Build your team's moral to achieve success
8. Travel extensively - up to 60% - 80% of your time.
9. Work well with Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) as well as client database management products
10. Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task 

Specific Skills: 

1. Cultivate your imagination during the sales process - We value your creative input 2. Uphold our company's Mission Statement
3. Manage our US and Canadian Sales Team to achieve our sales goals
4. Hire, train and manage our brokers and distributor teams on Zhena's product line
5. Help create and manage the company's annual budget. Adapt to changes in sales and expenses within the fiscal year.
6. Align our sales strategy with our marketing and brand strategy
7. Create, present, and manage foodservice and retail programs for our retail buyers 8. Analyze retailer and distributor velocity reports and Spins Data
9. Travel extensively to meet brokers, retailers, and foodservice/retail management teams. Book your own travel arrangements. Travel can be up to 60-80% of your time.
