Senior Web Developer

The U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, DC-based national nonprofit organization of over 6,000 corporate and organizational members that is dedicated to promoting environmentally-responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work, is currently recruiting for a Senior Web Developer to perform design and development of USGBC's web-based applications utilizing the Microsoft .NET framework, SQL Server 2000 and SAP Netweaver technologies. 

This position will perform full application lifecycle support to include requirement analysis and specification, design, development and implementation. Additionally, the Senior Web Developer will interface with end-users and work in a team setting to support USGBC's Web applications and e-commerce integration from .NET into SAP. This person must comply with development lifecycle standards, OWASP security standards, defined processes, and control mechanisms to ensure configuration control and high-quality, secure product development. 

Responsibilities Include: 

• Development of web applications in ASP, and ASP.NET, SQL  
• Develop utilizing C#, VB.NET, VB Script and Java Script  
• Integrate Web applications with data in SAP via the .NET Connector and Web Services  
• Work with contractors and technology partners  
• Assist in determining project development timelines  
• Develop in ordered and prompt manor  
• Be available for mission critical development and Web site issues  
• Work with time-sensitive deadlines  
• Communicate with team on all development issues and projects  
• Ensure commerce record quality

• 4+ years experience developing rich client and web based applications using Microsoft technologies in a team environment  
• 4 year college degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience  
• Extensive experience developing large commerce sites  
• Experience developing content management systems  
• Experience working with development, staging and production development  
• Experience with database modeling and development  
• Organization and analytic skills, with problem solving ability  
• Excellent communications skills and customer service attitude  
• Ability to work with a team  
• Thorough knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, C#, VB Script  
• Knowledge of SAP .NET Connector  
• Thorough knowledge of Visual Studio .NET 2003, .NET Framework 1.1, SQL Server 2000  
• Understanding of basic encryptions including SSL and Blowfish  
• Experience with integration with 3rd party systems
