Description

Work with U.S. and international teams to ensure our Owned Brand products are produced ethically and in accordance to applicable local laws.

PRIMARY FUNCTION 

Train and educate all owned brand vendors on the Global Compliance program. Work closely with vendors to coach and enforce compliance with Target's Standards of Vendor Engagement. Monitor audit reports to ensure audits are conducted timely and provide feedback to auditors, factories, and vendors for improvement. Responsible for vendor and factory registration of all owned brand vendors in the Global Compliance program. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Complete Vendor Level Analysis 

* Perform analysis to understand current vendor performance as it relates to Global Compliance. 
* Facilitate vendor meetings, business partner calls and general Global Compliance education sessions. Ensure vendors are aware of their compliance standing and coach them on their role in compliance. 

Analyze Audit Results 

* Review factory compliance audits and identify areas of improvement based on standard operating procedures and established guidelines. Communicate audit results and required remediation for issues identified during the factory audit within level of service guidelines.
* Identify opportunities and uncover potential issues as they relate to factory audits and perform trend analysis. 
* Review vendor matrix and assigns Global Compliance performance "Levels" based on audit results on an on-going basis. Communicate with both internal and external partners on vendor compliance. 
* Learn and understand applicable local laws and regulations related to working conditions in the countries/provinces that Target sources from. 

Complete Vendor and Factory Registration 

* Examine and research on-line documents to substantiate the vendor/factory registration process. Ensure vendor and factory registration are approved according to LOS guidelines. 
* Review documents for accuracy and request additional documentation or information for the vendor/factory as necessary. Resolve registration issues with vendors within LOS guidelines. 
* Educate and train vendors about the Global Compliance program. 
* Research and respond to vendor requests to register factories. Ensure factories with previous compliance issues are not registered until all compliance issues have been resolved.
* Maintain the accuracy of registered factory information by identifying and researching duplicate factories. Associate factories to multiple vendors. 
* Retrieve information from mainframe, GMS, MPS, PD&D, BPM, POL and other proprietary sources on a proactive basis to understand the relationship between the corporation and the vendor. 
* Document all phone calls, emails, and faxes in the database to create/maintain vendor history. 

Perform Global Compliance "Best Practices" 

* Provide on-going feedback to both Target and third party auditors.
* Create and update "Best Methods" using standard format as needed.
* Assists in developing training tools for internal and external use as it pertains to compliance. 
* Provide further investigations of Short Audits with risk reported.
