For more than 20 years D&R has used collaborative and innovative market-based approaches to improve the efficiency of buildings, homes and products.
We seek an associate with knowledge of building science and/or utility experience to promote improved energy performance in the commercial, governmental, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities include:
Acting as a technical resource for the project team in support of the Federal Government, utilities and industry to develop voluntary partnerships dedicated to improving energy performance in the large commercial and industrial sectors
Researching innovative applications for emerging technologies and business practices for facility energy management
Developing and delivering technical trainings for multiple audiences
Requires experience in working with utility energy efficiency programs in the commercial sector, technical aptitude in the building science sector, strong communication skills, ability to multitask, positive attitude, personable, and a willingness to travel.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of energy and building codes, the technical aspects of facilities management, and communicating these concepts to the building industry. Strong presentation and writing skills are essential. Requires Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and/or utility energy efficiency programs. CEM/PE preferred.
