Description

Ducks Unlimited is a leading wetlands conservation organization headquartered in Memphis, TN.

New financial markets are emerging for environmental services associated with wetlands and other natural ecosystems. Waterfowl habitat restoration and preservation activities may generate environmental credits that can be transacted on the markets. This includes carbon offsets, water quality credits and other benefits related to forest, grassland, and wetlands restoration.

DU is seeking an energetic employee with both business and environmental training to assist with program development. Some of the responsibilities will include evaluating carbon markets, assisting with business requirements for database tools, socio-economic analysis, and synthesizing research on carbon accumulation rates under various land management regimes.

Master's degree preferred with strong writing, research and oral communication skills. Computer, analytical, and organizational skills required.
