Description
A national engineering consulting firm is seeking a facilities engineer for our Colorado Springs, Colorado office to provide support for developing sustainable facilities management for clients in the industrial, commercial, higher education, and medical sectors in Colorado and throughout the U.S.
Responsibilities will include developing metering programs using direct and indirect methods to get an energy-end use profile for facilities. The responsibilities will also include supporting commissioning projects with test plans/procedures and providing field oversight of testing.
Candidate should have experience in the following areas:
* Energy management and energy accounting principles
* Metering methodologies
* HVAC operations, Central Plant operations, Domestic Water Use
* Commissioning, building construction, facilities management, operations & maintenance, or mechanical engineering with a specialty in HVAC equipment and controls in a heavy commercial - light industrial environment.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability and willingness to interact effectively
* 5+ years of experience, registered Professional Engineer
* Proficient user of Excel and Microsoft Word
* LEED Accredited Professional a plus
