Environmental Biologist

Glenn Lukos Associates, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm specializing in wetland delineation, permitting, restoration, and biological surveys, working mostly in Southern California. We assist our clients in complying with regulatory requirements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, California Department of Fish and Game, and other state and federal agencies. We conduct or oversee jurisdictional delineations and prepare or manage preparation of constraints analyses, endangered species biological assessments, environmental assessments (NEPA), 404(b)(1) alternatives analyses, and permit application packages (especially for Section 404 permits and Section 1602 agreements). We also perform general biological surveys, vegetation mapping, and focused surveys for endangered or threatened species of plants and animals, analyze impacts to biological resources, and recommend mitigation for unavoidable impacts. We also design and manage installation of habitat restoration and habitat creation projects. 

Glenn Lukos Associates, Inc. has immediate openings in a variety of environmental fields for both senior and entry level positions. All positions require excellent writing and people skills. Master's degrees are preferred, but a Bachelor's degree with several years of pertinent experience may be sufficient. Experience in Southern California is a big plus; permits to survey for Southern California endangered or threatened species is another big plus.

We have a great staff that is currently overworked and needs help. We need senior level people who can jump in and help reduce the workload and we can use entry-level people who can assist existing staff while learning and advancing.
