Description

The Natural Resources Information Clearinghouse (NRIC) Project, managed by Chemonics International, seeks a Water Specialist to support the Water Team within USAID's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Tracking USAID water activities worldwide and helping the team to write its reports, brochures, conference/training materials, and web-page content;

* Regularly attending the water team meetings;

* Contributing to projects assigned to NRIC by the Water Team and the NRM Office;

* Inputting water-related information into databases, files, and other central information resources; and

* Collecting and archiving of budget data and information about USAID water projects.

Qualifications:

1.Masters degree in natural resources, biology, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

2.1-2 years experience in water and coastal resources management in developing countries.

3.Demonstrated analytical, leadership, management and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines.

4.Demonstrated initiative and ability to work with limited supervision and in a team.

5.English fluency and exceptional writing skills required.

6.Knowledge of USAID and their operations preferred.

Note: Permanent US work authorization is needed in order to gain required security clearance.
