Energy Program Analyst

Energetics, Incorporated, an energy and environmental consulting firm headquartered in Columbia, MD, has an opening for an Energy Analyst for the Washington D.C. office.

Responsibilitiesinclude coordination of a government - industry working group of about 100 individuals and a smaller Federal interagency working group.

Specific tasksinclude working with the government - industry working group's steering committee to develop meeting agendas, identify and recruit speakers and panelists, coordinate meeting-related logistics with meeting host, summarize meeting discussions, and conduct research and analysis upon request.

Other tasksinvolve monitoring and reporting utility-related issues associated with the electric and natural gas utility industries for a monthly electronic newsletter.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Communications, Energy/Environmental sciences, or any other relevant field with 1-3 years of experience in the energy field;
  
• Experience with and/or knowledge of the utility industry and the legislative process a plus.
• Ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills, extensive experience with Internet research, and an ability to work in a service-oriented business environment are also required.
• Candidates should have strong knowledge with MS Office Suite, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
