Environmental Intern

Galveston County Health District is a local health department. The Air & Water Services Division (A&WSD)conducts environmental investigations, industrial inspections, and performs various stormwater-related functions in this jurisdiction. The Division also contracts with TCEQ to perform air activities according to state protocols.

The A&WSD Environmental Intern will learn all aspects of sampling and regulatory work conducted by the Division's Technicians and Investigators, as time allows. This position will provide a significant breadth of multimedia regulatory experience for anyone just getting out of college, or those looking to make a career transition into the environmental field.
