Fuel Cell-Vice President of Engineering

We seek an experienced Vice President of Engineering for development and commercialization of its novel MEMS-based micro fuel cell system. The applicant will lead a select team of highly qualified individuals developing and designing small fuel cell systems for portable electronics applications.

Job Summary:
- Assume responsibility for development, design, construction, packaging, testing and qualification of UltraCells FuelChip micro fuel cell products to meet customer requirements.

- Work with the CEO to organize and manage teams that will bring its product to market, and identify and recruit new members of the team.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business plans, goals/objectives, benchmarks and standards, metrics;

- Responsible for managing a team of engineers, planning engineering projects, meeting development deadlines, and overall performance management for engineering staff;

- Present to investors, customers, and senior management.

- Must have good presentation skills.

Skills and Abilities:
- The ideal candidate will be highly driven, hard working and internally motivated;

- Set and meet project schedules using leadership and management skills, and commitment to the company and the team to meet demanding product introduction schedules and customer needs;

- Must be hands on, creative, able to interface with management and customers, prepare briefings and proposals;

- Knowledge of patent system is helpful.
