Description

Campaign to Save the Environment is a national effort to build support for environmental organizations across the country.

We run campaigns for Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, and the State PIRGs. This summer we will be operating campaigns in over 50 cities, working and lobbying to stop the rollback of our national environmental laws, such as the Clean Air Act.

Duties:
Summer staff with Campaign to Save the Environment will:

  • Educate the public.
  • Fundraise for one or more of the aforementioned groups.
  • Collect petition signatures to elected officials.
  • Locate local activists and get them involved with our campaigns.
  • We have leadership positions available for those who qualify.

These positions include various responsibilities, such as:

  • Staff management and training.
  • Organization of media events, such as press conferences.
  • Building coalitions with other organizations.
  • Organizing local activists.

Qualifications:
Were looking for people who have a strong work ethic, excellent communications skills, and a sincere interest in the issues on which we work.

No prior experience necessary.

Terms:

  • Hours: Vary by office.
  • All staff work at least 40 hours a week.
  • Duration: Varies by office.
  • Applicants must be able to work at least 6-8 weeks, though most summer staff are expected to work 10-14 weeks.
  • Training: Provided.
  • Housing: We do not supply housing
