Description
The Cleveland Green Building Coalition aims to hire a full time Executive Director.
Duties:
Principle responsibilities include:
- Fundraising Write grants. Write grant reports. Develop organizational budget. Solicit corporate sponsors. Research funding opportunities. Oversee all finances and grants. Interface with donors and foundation contacts.
- Organizational Strategic Planning and Operations: Plan for organizations growth. Manage the execution of grants. Strategize upcoming projects. Interface with board/advisory committees. Understand and track local and national green building trends. Understand and track state and local environment as it relates to organizational mission.
- Manage Staff Insure that all CGBC staffs have an adequate work environment. Hire and fire staff. Manage consultants. Insure that CGBC staff is fulfilling job descriptions. Represent the organization to the best of their ability.
- Oversee Finances and Grants Insure that grant requirements are met. Insure fiscal responsibility and sustainability. Monitor Budget.
- Represent the Organization to the Public, as well as Presentations and Project Assistance Develop and conduct public presentations. Attend city and state task forces. Interface with media and building industry representatives.
- Assisting in Core Projects Work with CGBC staff to insure projects fall within organizational mission and strategic plan.
- Special Projects When appropriate, facilitate the demonstration of green building projects and/or with consultants to do the same.
Qualifications
- Fundraising Knowledge of and contacts within the local and national foundations. Experience with fundraising.
- Organizational Management: Demonstrated success at project management. Ability to manage consultants. Ability to manage staff. Ability to manage project budget.
- Green Building Experience: Knowledge of green building. Understanding of LEED. Experience in the building industry.
Additional Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and willing to work cooperatively, but independently in a mission-based organization.
- Efficient and able to multi-task, follow-through and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in building relationships. Uses facilitative approach and has flexibility to work with a broad range of cultures, personalities, and work styles
- Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, accurate, ell-organized written and financial reports and to ommunicate verbally in an effective manner.
- Ability to utilize computers for daily tasks
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to facilitate effective meetings.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must have valid drivers license.
