Description

This is a full time position with Yosemite National Institutes (YNI). YNI is a
nationally recognized leader in the field of experiential environmental
education, providing educational adventures in natures classroom to inspire a
personal connection to the natural world and responsible actions to sustain it.
YNI conducts programs for more than 40,000 participants annually at its three
campuses:
Headlands Institute in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area,
near San Francisco,
Olympic Park Institute in Olympic National Park,
Washington, and
Yosemite Institute in Yosemite National Park, California.

Duties:


The Campaign Manager is responsible for the coordination and implementation
of all development activities related to Yosemite National Institutes priority
campaign in support of the redesign and rebuilding of our premier campus.
This person will work closely with the development department staff and will
report to the Vice President of Development.


Responsibilities include working with the development department to
accomplish the goals and objectives of the position. Duties will include:

  • In concert with the VP of Development and Marketing, develop, implement
    and track all campaign cultivation and solicitation activities.
  • Identify new prospects and coordinate research of and qualify new and
    existing prospects for campaign.
  • Design and implement donor cultivation strategies, including but not limited
    to house parties, site visits, events, and information packets.
  • Conceptualize and facilitate the design and production of campaign
    marketing and promotional materials, including but not limited to printed
    publications, case statement, and website presence.
  • Research, prepare, edit and assemble proposals for capital funding to
    foundations, corporations, and government entities in support of campaign in
    concert with Foundation and Corporate Manager.
  • Relay updated information regarding campaign activities to appropriate
    committees, President and VP of Development and Marketing.
  • Manage and track campaign budget and provide monthly reports on status of
    income and expenses.
  • Support Board members, Campaign Cabinet, President/CEO, and VP of
    Development and Marketing as needed with Campaign-related tasks.
  • Ensure proper recording of all campaign gifts and acknowledgement in
    coordination with the Development Associate.
  • Coordinate the design and production of and update comprehensive donor
    recognition opportunities, such as printed materials and signage.
  • Collaborate with the other development staff in furthering the overall
    development needs of YNI.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate can demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university;
  • Three year of development experience in a related field or industry;
  • Demonstrated success in fund raising efforts, preference for campaign
    experience;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally;
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and efficiently complete varied tasks;
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently;
  • Available to work occasional weekends and evenings.
