The Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies (CERES), Inc. is a non-profit coalition of investors, foundations, labor unions, and environmental, religious, and public interest groups working in partnership with companies toward the common goal of improving corporate environmental responsibility worldwide. Duties:


Responsibilities may include research, compiling and organizing data, writing, project coordination, and some administrative duties as required.


The 2003 internship positions offer opportunities to work in the following areas:

  • Outreachworks with potential endorsing companies, and existing and potential coalition members;
  • Accountabilityengages stakeholders in activities around corporate reporting and other accountability issues;
  • Sustainable Governanceeducate corporate boards and institutional investors on issues of climate change and sustainability;
  • Development and Communicationsincludes fundraising and creating communication tools to engage funders, corporations, NGOs, and other constituencies via web, printed materials, and press opportunities.

Internship positions will last ten weeks, beginning in May or Juneexact dates are flexible. We expect an intern to contribute 40 hours per week in our office in downtown Boston. Please note that CERES may offer modest stipends that will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
