Report To: Project Manager

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement operating procedures defining the Reliability and Maintainability techniques applied to equipment.

Develop a process to compile, document and archive equipment Reliability and Maintainability data during equipment procurement, design, manufacture and in-service operation.

Assist the Design Department Managers in preparing and implementing job specific Reliability and Maintainability Plans.

Conduct equipment and process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA).

Conduct equipment safety and ergonomic reviews.

Conduct equipment specific fault tree analysis (FTA).

Assist the Materials Manager in vendor selection and qualification based on Reliability and Maintainability data.

Assist the Project Team in identifying, documenting and implementing equipment Reliability and Maintainability testing.

Assist the Service Manager in developing maintenance procedures and spare parts lists based on Reliability and maintainability data.

Conduct training of personnel in the application of Reliability and Maintainability techniques used to verify manufactured equipment conformance to customers specifications.

Maintain good relationships with all functional groups and locations within the Company by participating in functional and multi-functional teams.

Maintain good relationships and liaison with external customers and suppliers.

Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.

Must Have Skills
*
A post secondary degree/diploma in Engineering.
*
Experience in custom engineered product design and manufacturing environment.
*
Working knowledge of light industrial automation and robots.
*
Working knowledge of PLC's, instrumentation or other machine controls packages.
*
Knowlege of sensors and pneumatics.
*
Working knowledge of the ISO Quality Program Standard.
*
Working knowledge of Reliability and Maintainability techniques.
*
Working knowledge in furnace and thermal processing as well as semiconductor equipment.
