Salary: mid 30s DOE
Summary of Position:
The Organizer works full-time with the Director to develop and implement grassroots strategies to support Public Citizen's Water for All campaign.
Job Description:
Join a committed team of organizers and activists to spearhead the growing Water for All campaign, with local, regional, national, and international components. Create organizing materials, action alerts, background information, issue updates, and media materials. Develop coalitions and plan strategies for achieving campaign goals. Engage the public through speaking and media appearances. Work with Public Citizen's Washington DC staff of lobbyists, researchers, and communications staff to plan, develop, and implement the campaign.
Education: Bachelor (BA, BS, etc.)
Qualifications:
* Strong interest in and commitment to the progressive causes
* Familiarity with the legislative process and advocacy
* College degree and three years of experience through employment and/or internships
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, Spanish speaking a plus
* Good typing and computer skills, familiarity with database programs helpful
* Ability to work well with a wide range of people, work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks at once, and adapt to changing situations on a daily basis
