Description

Great Lakes work-study at Univ of Michigan (Ann Arbor,
MI)

Student will learn about the day-to-day operations of a regional
environmental news program. S/he will develop a better understanding of
online journalism and environmental issues in the Great Lakes region, become
familiar with regional news outlets, and learn how to make editorial
judgments. The editorial assistant will be responsible for gathering
environmental news about the Great Lakes region from online news services
and writing summaries for posting on the Great Lakes Radio Consortium and
Great Lakes Information Network web sites.

Qualifications: Applicants should
have strong writing skills, be self-motivated and dependable, enjoy working
in the mornings (9 am - 12 noon; 2 or 3 days each week). Applicants must
have working knowledge of the Internet. Knowledge of environmental issues
and/or journalism a plus. Multi-semester work-study commitment desired.

$10.00-11.00/hr.
