Location: Cortland, Illinois (approx. 60 miles west of Chicago)

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in one or more of the following disciplines: wetland biology, botany, ecology or soil science. Successful candidate will provide wetland delineations, mitigation and monitoring for wetlands and streams impacted by development (residential, commercial, utilities).
Responsibilities include environmental permitting at the City, County, State and Federal levels, and endangered species presence/absence determinations and Endangered Species Act consultation.
Qualifications:
Requires a BS in the biological sciences (or related field) with emphasis on wetlands, botany or soils and a minimum of two years conducting wetland delineation, plant or wetland monitoring, or soils investigations. A firm knowledge of Midwest Flora and Fauna. Certification from an accredited U.S. Army Corps of Engineers training school in Wetlands Delineation or specialized education in wetlands ecology, soils, botany, Section 404 and 401 permitting a plus.
The ability to manage projects, negotiate with agencies and stakeholders, work independently and coordinate with multiple agencies and organizations is essential.
Must have demonstrable technical report writing skills.
