GH provides a variety of consulting services to the wind energy business and is world renowned for its excellence and integrity in producing high quality independent engineering consulting services and due diligence reviews. GHA is expanding to meet the growing needs of the wind power industry and is seeking qualified engineering professionals to fill a variety of positions.

Position Overview

Wind Energy Analyst positions based in either our Portland or San Diego offices are immediately available for suitably qualified entry-level and experienced candidates. The primary function of these positions will be to assess the wind resource and expected energy output of proposed and operational utility-scale wind farms across the US.

Duties will include analyzing wind and other climatic data, inspecting sites and measurement equipment, performing wind flow modeling, reviewing turbine site suitability, designing wind farm layouts, conducting statistical uncertainty analyses, and writing technical reports.

Required qualifications include:

  • Degree in relevant engineering, atmospheric science, or mathematics field,
  • Comprehensive understanding of wind flow principles,
  • Aptitude in working with and/or the statistical analysis of data,
  • The ability to write clear and accurate reports in English.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with wind energy industry software and measurement techniques.

The positions will involve some site work and travel. Applicants should be self-motivated and enjoy taking on challenges and responsibilities.

Compensation 

GHA will consider candidates for any of the GHA offices mentioned above, depending on qualifications and openings.
