Description
VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE SERVICES based in San Francisco, the VP will oversee BSRs relationships with its member companies. Main functional area responsibility includes marketing to and recruitment of new member companies; articulation of the member value proposition through product and service development; and the conceptualization and oversight of BSRs annual conference.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sophisticated knowledge of the field of corporate social responsibility, with demonstrated understanding of the global perspectives on corporate social responsibility and business operations in diverse environments
- Five to ten years of experience working in or with large global companies with substantial direct responsibility for policies linked to corporate social responsibility; strong preference for work experience in a business membership organization
- Demonstrated leadership and vision and an entrepreneurial spirit used to grow a business or business function, with sales and marketing experience preferred
- Prior oversight experience with one or more of the following activities desirable: conference and event planning, print publications, web design and content management - Knowledge of media and corporate communications
- Strong planning, project management and people management skills
- Outstanding written and oral communications and editing skills
- Budget development and oversight experience
- A collaborative management style
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- A Bachelors degree in business or a related subject, with a strong preference for an MBA or other relevant graduate degree
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic planning to conceptualize and develop the portfolio of products and services BSR offers to provide unique value to member companies as they implement more responsible business practices
- Management of BSRs ongoing relationship with the senior management of member companies
- Market research to identify the CSR needs of large, global leadership companies
- Marketing and communications planning in support of member recruitment, retention and BSRs Annual Conference
- Creation of the themes and design of BSRs Annual Conference and additional events for members and others
- Budget, revenue and expenditure responsibility and accountability for all Member Service activities
- Hiring, developing, mentoring and managing key management staff with operational responsibility for Member Services activities
- Coordination of Member Services activities, systems, processes and policies with BSRs Client Services Group and collaboration with the leaders of BSRs Finance, HR and IT functions
- Participation in BSRs Senior Management Team regarding organizational planning, policies and operations
- Representation of Member Services and BSR with the board of directors and with external audiences
- Other responsibilities as time permits to advance the mission, goals and strategies of BSR
