Position Overview: 

The Utility Services Account Manager will manage key member accounts and account relationships in a manner that adds significant value to the customer and creates additional income for the company. The successful candidate will develop and execute strategic account plans, provide exceptional service to existing accounts, identify and deploy strategies to grow additional business, and facilitate utility service activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute account plans for key accounts that grow critical relationships, revenue and impact.
  • Develop, deploy and oversee standardized sales plans with goals and timelines substantiated with research and analysis.
  • Employ customer relationship management systems and procedures to document and maintain information on clients and activities.
  • Develop strategies for initiating contact and building interest, using existing relationships, conducting research, etc. Utilize existing utility relationships to identify good contacts.
  • Develop strategic alliances with other individuals and organizations to build critical relationships.
  • Broaden and deepen relationships between company and its utility customers by increasing the levels and functional areas within each organization participating in the relationship.
  • Facilitate planning and tracking of new projects and activities.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction, ensuring full utilization of the service account.
  • Collaborate with the team to make sure that members are receiving an appropriate level of attention and resources.
  • Keep the corporation informed as to the strategic plans and directions of our customers as well as their specific concerns and desires regarding services.
  • Develop on-going reporting mechanisms to keep the management team apprised of progress toward revenue and other business goals.
  • Serve as the liaison between direct reports and the management team, and actively support corporate ideals and goals.
  • Attend regular team meetings and participate in annual planning for corporate direction, growth and improvement and staff development.
  • Develop budgets and business plans for sales, marketing and product development in conjunction with the corporate budgeting process.
  • Other Duties as Assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in marketing, business or relevant technical field required.
  • Minimum 10 years experience building relationships preferably for a consulting or services firm; minimum of 5 years working with the electric utility industry.
  • Strong planning, problem solving ability, data analysis skills, interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to create a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrated computer and Microsoft software skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, effective presentation skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
