CEDA's (Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County, Inc.) Weatherization department is the nation's largest home energy conservation program in the nation.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Training Specialist to assist in the development of staff development courseware , classroom and job site instruction, training video production and general training administration for the Weatherization (WX) department. Teach some internal training courses to field and office personnel, as well as contractors and intake sites. Assist in scheduling training and performing needs assessments.
Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to, cataloging, finalizing and formatting existing training presentations, job aids, videos and other courseware for the training resource library; assisting in the development of courseware and training videos; providing spot training/TA to field staff, office staff, intake sites and contractors; coordinating a computer training clinic for WX staff; assisting in the Needs Assessment process in conjunction with the Quality Control function; conducting one WX assessment and one final inspection per week with the Training Manager.
Qualifications:
High school graduate plus at least 2 years of college required; Bachelors degree preferred. At least 2 years of courseware development and training delivery experience. At least 3 years of WX experience or equivalent energy efficiency/construction industry experience. Excellent communication and public speaking skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Advanced Microsoft Office computer skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Individual must be trained or obtain training after hire as an Illinois Certified Auditor.
Travel: Position requires 50% field work. Travel is within the geographical Cook County area and out-of-county to attend training sessions and Weatherization-related conferences.
