Summer Field Station/Contract Teacher Interns: 4

Date of next available position: Sunday, May 25th, Saturday, August 15th, 2003

Duties:

The Teton Science School Field Station is located in Bridger-Teton National Forest approximately two miles from the TSS Kelly campus. The Field Station is occupied by student throughout the summer (college, high school, and middle school). The Field Station intern implements the health and safety guidelines of the site. Risk and student management, cooking, for groups and managing Field Station logistics are all part of the position. In addition, Field Station staff will be trained and equipped to teach to a variety of student ages and programs lengths.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in science or related field and minimum age 21
  • Teaching and leadership experience
  • Teaching and leadership experience
  • Current first aid and CPR certification
  • Safe driving record

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising, leading, and teaching children. Site management and demonstrated interest in environmental education. Basic organizing and planning skills.


Compensation:

Pay is $800/month plus semi private room and all meals provided. Each staff member will also have access to TSS seminars and other learning opportunities at no charge.
