Position Overview 

Seeking 2 Street Warriors (A.K.A Territory Sales Manager) for Metro New York City and San Francisco Bay Area.

Your Daily Mission: Hit the streets to build and develop relationships. Bring Kicking Horse Coffee to the number one, numero uno, top donkey position in Metro New York City.

Responsibilities

What Will You Do?

Put your sales savvy behind a product that is turning heads and fuelling even the most discerning coffee addicts. Work with a team of energetic individuals representing a bold, fun and world-friendly brand. Kicking Horse Coffee has rocketed up the SPINS data charts in just three short years of being sold in the USA. We are currently the #4 coffee in the Natural Channel and you will keep this momentum rolling. To get specific, this role reports to our Regional Sales Manager and will be responsible for the following:

  • Build and maintain store level relationships with key retailers and influencer stores.
  • Be in the know! Communicate noteworthy retailer and industry news to Regional Sales Manager.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with distributor and broker sales teams.
  • Be present! Connect daily with our retailers in their stores.
  • Support the execution of strategic, in-store initiatives.
  • Verify and merchandise authorized SKU placement, identifying and addressing any voids.
  • Ensure consumers receive the freshest coffee by rotating items and monitoring “enjoy by dates.”
  • Be the coffee set expert, increasing shelf presence by gaining premium placement.
  • Create opportunities to sell in secondary displays at the store level.
  • Generate orders during promotional and regular selling windows. Process with appropriate distributors.
  • Provide support as needed at trade shows, local sponsorship events, and in-store demos.
  • Own your zone! Take ownership of your territory and identify areas of growth, then make it happen.

Specifically, you've got:

  • 2-5 years of sales experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods or Grocery Industry.
  • A degree in business, marketing or communications an ASS-et.
  • Experience working on accounts in the Natural and Speciality Grocery channel.

  • Naturally outgoing, authentically connects with people and develops meaningful relationships.
  • Annihilates mediocrity with high standards for quality and excellent time management. Works effectively and independently.
  • Exceptional communication skills. Verbal, written and presentation, you’ve got it!
  • Technically sound with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, remaining true to self and the brand.
  • Driven and ambitious. Dives into opportunity, not afraid to ask questions and get ‘er done.
  • Living in Metro New York City or San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Savvy navigating city traffic, comfortable taking public transport.
  • Passion for active and healthy lifestyle.
