Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Technical Sales Representative. We believe that our employees are the current and future success of our company. Responsibility:

  • Filter through client's needs and provide definition and structure of technical projects.
  • Develop and deliver customer quotations for commercial and utility scale solar design and engineering projects.
  • Work with company management to negotiate final project work scope and price.
  • Assist with developing a clean handoff for new projects to internal operations and engineering staff.
  • Train and manage other engineering hires to prepare proposals and respond to customer requests.
  • Manage organizational resources in partnership with the engineering team; continuously collaborate with management to assess and build customer relationships.
  • Proactively perform customer visits to plan the locations of equipment
  • Work cohesively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver our engineering excellence and best-in-class message to new and existing customers.
  • Communicate effectively with clients from all disciplines- including commercial businesses, utilities, and municipalities.
  • Build and manage all new business development relationships.
  • Represent Mounting Systems Inc. as an experienced and knowledgeable team member.
  • Represent the Company at fairs, exhibitions and conferences
  • Create market analysis
  • Manage customer data and workflow in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision)
  • Verbal and written communications with customers, pre- and post- sales.
  • Assist VP of Sales
  • Support local marketing/marketing communications activities

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
  • Self-motivated and committed to excellence.
  • Knowledge and experience in playing a diplomatic role between employees, customers, vendors and various other key relationships.
  • Electrical and/or general contracting experience. An advanced knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices and construction techniques is preferred.
  • Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and fiduciary responsibility.
  • Technology savvy with advanced computer skills. A demonstrated ability with MS Office, MS Windows and project tracking software is required.
  • Keen analytic, organization, and problem solving skills, which supports our strategic company positioning versus simple field or managerial skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience within the PV/Solar markets highly desirable
