- Renewable Energy Use

A spin-off of Sustainable Solutions Corporation, GreenCircle Certified, LLC was formed as an independent entity to fully focus on third-party verification. GCC is known for our solid, long-term relationships with our clients because of our expert knowledge of their products.
GreenCircle conducts a detailed evaluation of the product and manufacturing operations including manufacturing facility audits. Manufacturers are required to provide detailed information and documentation to GreenCircle about the product and manufacturing operations.
By issuing a GreenCircle certification, GreenCircle Certified, LLC demonstrates that it has evaluated and verified the information provided by the Manufacturer and that, based on the information received by GreenCircle, the Manufacturer is capable of, and consistently produces, a product that is in compliance with their sustainability claim. By applying the GreenCircle certification mark to a product, the Manufacturer warrants that the product meets all relevant requirements of the GreenCircle Certification System for the claim.

GCC is looking for a Technical Manager to develop and maintain client relationships, conduct certifications and to assemble and mentor a staff of certification associates.
Position Overview:
The Technical Manager (TM) is responsible for increasing GCC’s revenue by developing new client relationships through new product certifications, as well as maintaining existing client relationships. In order to do that, hands-on knowledge of our certification is a must. The TM is also responsible for the development and mentoring of our certification associates. Certification associates go out into the field and perform the certifications.
Reports to: Managing Partners
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a plan to increase certifications in a variety of markets
- Develop relationships with new and existing clients
- Conduct certification evaluations for each of the 7 areas GCC currently certifies, based on GCC standards and procedures
- Conduct site visits for information gathering purposes
- Participate in the development of proposals and other marketing materials
- Provide technical assistance through understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chains
- Be involved in the training and supervision of GCC certification associates
- Ensure that projects are completed accurately, on time, and on budget
- Ensure quality and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
Candidate Profile:
The Technical Manager candidate has excellent people skills and enjoys developing relationships with clients. The TM has extensive manufacturing knowledge and a working knowledge of sustainable products and sustainability in general.
Must be well organized and be able to work collaboratively with others and communicate clearly to clients, peers and subcontractors to complete work that moves your project to completion. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, technical analysis and the ability to think on both a micro and macro level. Taking initiative, follow-through, persistence, and a strong research capability are key components to this position.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience operating in an environmental or sustainability management/sales role
- Bachelor's Degree is required. Preferred in Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Materials Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Master's Degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Power and Process Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or Business a plus Experience with conducting Life Cycle Assessments, and other environmental analyses
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Previous experience in the consulting business
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and executive orders including, but not limited to: FTC Green Guides, GHG Inventory accounting, ISO 14021, ISO 14001, ISO 14040 (life cycle assessment), environmental product labeling (PAS 2050) or environmental compliance for air, water, and/or waste
- Demonstrated successful sales experience
- Strong Excel capabilities with a focus on data management
- Ability to respond to demands and interruptions within a progressive business environment
- Desire to produce top quality work
- Ability to learn on the job
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written
- Eagerness to mentor others
