Description
Sebesta Blomberg is seeking an individual with sustainable facilities experience to support clients in Arlington, VA. The candidate will support client staff in monitoring contract goals pertaining to sustainability, evaluating approaches, materials, and design elements to be integrated into sustainable building designs and construction activities.
Job Description
*Coordinate and provide technical support to integrate sustainability into the project delivery process
*Train internal staff and contractors on sustainable goals
*Provide LEED coordination and facilitation
*Facilitate on-going discussions, planning, and implementation activities associated with moving toward sustainable best practices
*Provide design and construction document reviews related to sustainable design and LEED
* Research and development to support the vision of the team to deliver high performance buildings Qualifications
The ideal applicant will have the following:
*Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
* LEED Accredited Professional
* Experience developing and implementing sustainable facilities programs, including US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design programs.
* Multi-disciplinary experience in two or more areas of the following: Site, Water Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Materials and Indoor Environmental Quality
* Attention to detail and ability to manage workload across multiple projects
* Ability to manage project activities within budget and schedule.
* Self-motivated and able to set work priorities and complete analyses with minimal supervision
* Strong presence and comfortable engaging with senior client representatives and effective in influencing them through verbal and written communications.
* Ability to work effectively with groups and individuals
* Flexible and comfortable with changes in scope and direction. Willing to work through challenging issues and relationships
* Expert user of MS office products - Word and Excel
* Minimum of seven (7) years experience in energy and/or sustainable programs or in a progressively responsible position in engineering or environmental management.
