Description
Internship Overview
I am a Master's degree student at Harvard University's Extension School, completing my thesis in the Sustainability and Environmental Management track.
I am looking for help with basic research. If you are interested in the topics of corporate environmental stewardship and science-based sustainability goals, you may find this project interesting.
Responsibilities
- The research can be done from anywhere, though the thesis focuses on businesses (and some universities) in California and the biodiversity profile of the California Floristic Province.
- I will provide all the sources and instructions you need to harvest the company data I need. I will also acknowledge you in my final thesis, provide a letter of reference for your work as a Research Assistant and share the research with you once it has been accepted.
- The initial research involves about 200 companies with 10 data fields for each and I suspect that at least half of them will have no data or limited data. Therefore, this is not a hugely time-consuming project, but if you do good work, I would consider additional (hopefully more interesting work) in later stages, which would be paid.
Qualifications
- The research you would do is not complex, but I do want my data to be very accurate, so you would need to be extremely detail-oriented and precise.
- Fluency in English is critical in order to disseminate information online.
