Intertek Advisory & Sustainable Services has an exciting opportunity for an Supply Chain Analyst working in our New York City office. The candidate will support a Social and Environmental Accountability (SEA) supplier engagement team for a major customer. This team is responsible for ensuring suppliers operational conformance with requirements of labor, ethics, environment, health & safety. This includes process management to drive continuous improvement and analysis of supplier performance information to generate supplier performance profiles and various reports. Work is done in collaboration with the customer's internal audit team, procurement and compliance team members.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

A. Internal Program Development Responsibilities - Conduct SEA related supplier information research and analysis; Create templates, reports and tools as needed; Draft and document procedures as needed. 

B. Supplier Reporting and Monitoring Responsibilities 

- Regularly update individual supplier risk assessment criteria
- Review and provide inputs to the supplier audit forecast and audit schedule
- Review non conformance issue details and update information to maintain supplier performance profiles
- Produce regular status, progress, performance and ad hoc reports as needed
- Monitor ongoing supplier audit and remediation activity to generate supplier performance profiles, reporting, etc
- Analyze and assess compliance audit data and provide recommendations to internal compliance, procurement and audit teams
- Ensure critical issue escalation
- Discuss/coordinate/follow-up with factories, where applicable, on issues and corrective measures needed
- Drive collection and submittal of key performance indicator reports as appropriate
- Review supplier's SEA management system documentation as needed to confirm content and or support gap assessments.

Required Skills

- Bachelors Degree required with concentration in Political Science, International Business, helpful or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of working conditions, local legal requirements and best practice
- remediation solutions in the areas of labor, ethics, environment, health & safety
- Excellent analytical skills
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
- Effective management of confidential information
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc), Sharepoint
- Proficiency in reading simplified Chinese, verbal proficiency in Mandarin
- Audit experience preferable in the area of labor, ethics, health and safety, environment

Location of Work: NJ, Springfield and NYC; Travel required occasionally for onsite meetings at the customer's office in US and sometimes internationally
