Position Overview  

The Student Network intern will manage major pieces of our Student Network communications strategy, engage and mobilize Student Network activists, develop campaign materials, and work closely with Student Network staff. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Online social network management
  • Campaign development and implementation
  • Research
  • Contacting campuses about their purchasing decisions
  • Administrative support
  • Assisting with event planning
  • Writing blog entries
  • Writing and editing campaign materials
  • Direct activist engagement
  • Assisting with trainings for student activists

Qualifications 

  • Applicants must be over 18, but do not have to be current students. Applicants must show commitment to protecting the planet and building a green and peaceful future.
  • A strong applicant will also have excellent verbal and written communications skills, experience with Excel and Google tools, strong online research skills and the ability to work well independently.
  • You'll need a proven grounding in grassroots organizing and/or enthusiasm for the power of grassroots movements, and a commitment to non-violence as a means of affecting change.

Program Details
 

  • Our fall internships start September 8th and end December 5th.
  • Part time and full time positions available.
  • Each intern is trained and closely supervised by a member of the department to which they've been assigned.
  • We are flexible with your schedule and can help you receive class credit. All internships are unpaid.
  • Unfortunately Greenpeace cannot provide travel or housing.
