Position Overview:
The Strategic Marketing Coordinator position supports the development and execution of marketing and communication plans for utility clients. Working closely with Program Managers, the Strategic Marketing Manager and the Strategic Marketing and Marketing Services teams, this position will support strategy development and tactical planning and implementation, including managing timely and within-budget delivery of printed collateral, copywriting, advertising placements, event participation, website content, and promotional materials. This will entail all aspects of researching and evaluating opportunities, logistical coordination, budgeting, results tracking and reporting, creative development and oversight of the production process. Responsibilities also include reporting on marketing effectiveness.
Candidates must have at least 3 years experience supporting the development of strategic marketing plans and delivering a broad range of marketing and outreach campaigns. Experience working with multiple stakeholders is required. Industry background in energy, sustainability or environmental programs is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have proven success in supporting the development and implementation of marketing plans, strategies and tactics. Strong strategic thinking, research, analysis, planning, communications, and organizational skills are a must. Successful candidates will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, are innovative, creative, highly organized, detail- and solution-oriented and team-focused.
Responsibilities:
- Support marketing, public relations, brand management and communications for energy-efficient consumer products program.
- Develop and implement the products marketing plan, including development of strategies and tactics, completion of deliverables, results assessment, tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate events including research, evaluation and tracking of industry/community event opportunities and logistical execution of company participation.
- Develop and implement promotions and campaigns including copywriting.
- Coordinate media outreach including opportunity assessment, negotiating advertising contracts and placing ad materials.
- Analyze and track budget and performance data and report on marketing effectiveness.
- Conduct and coordinate market research to inform strategic planning and goal setting.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in strategic marketing development and project management
- Ability to interpret and apply market research data to strategic plans
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills
- Ability to think and communicate creatively and strategically
- Ability to work under pressure, with energy and enthusiasm
- Flexible to work with a variety of staff to meet dynamic project demands
- Industry background in energy, sustainability or environmental programs is a plus
