Description
Riverside Technology, inc. (Riverside), a leading international engineering and consulting firm providing scientific analysis, applications development, systems engineering, and GIS services to federal and state government agencies, private companies, and international clients, has 2 immediate opportunities for a Staff Engineer and a Project Engineer at our headquarters in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work as part of the Riverside team on projects that involve:
- Analyzing hydrometeorological data
- Performing water supply and climate change impact studies
- Calibrating hydrologic, hydraulic, reservoir operations, and watershed models
- Designing, configuring, and deploying complex data acquisition, water supply, and streamflow forecasting decision support systems
- Assessing client needs and formulating appropriate solutions
- Training system users and educating stakeholders
Qualifications:
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Drive to identify and implement the best solutions for a wide variety of clients
- Strong communication ability
- Direct experience in the analysis and processing of hydrometeorological data
- Expertise in hydrologic, hydraulic, reservoir operations, and watershed models (such as NWS models, HEC models, Riverware, RIBASIM)
- Experience with streamflow forecasting, modeling, and decision support systems (such as CWMS, CHPS, FEWS, WMS)
- Skill in GIS, scripting and basic programming
- Proficiency in Windows and LINUX environments
Education/Experience:
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources, MS preferred
- 0-3 years of related experience for Staff Engineer opportunity
- 5-8 years of related experience for Project Engineer opportunity (a PhD may be substituted for some experience)
