Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Superintendent, Residential Solar North Los Angeles, CA, (Santa Clarita, Palmdale/Lancaster area).

Position Overview:

The Area Superintendent will provide leadership for the development and installation of our solar business in Southern California.  This candidate will supervise the installation crews and continue to hire and build our internal installation team.

Responsibilities:

  • Install systems to meet the company's Southern California revenue targets. Increase the speed of installations to maintain an optimal backlog level.
  • Drive down installation costs and improve efficiency. Meet budget for all installation expenses.
  • Improve installation speed and efficiency by 10-15%
  • Install systems with great quality and deliver an extraordinary customer experience. Increase all customer satisfaction metrics for installation - currently 97% of customers would recommend Verengo.
  • Focus on installation quality and doing things right the first time -- exceed the company's target for projects passing inspection the first time without corrections
  • Verifiable track record for managing a successful "injury free" safety program. Train all Foreman on safety protocol.
  • Ensure all field team members complete online safety courses.
  • Implement process and programs to promote Safety culture.
  • Achieve less than 35% turnover.
  • Increase Great Place to Work Survey Results by 10%

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of Solar Experience Required!
  • Possess a current California Electrician State Certification or willing to obtain said certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Residential electrical experience a plus.
  • Company vehicle will be provided so applicant must pass a background check, drug screen and have a clean driving record.

**Candidate must possess the following experience:

  • Solar Experience a MUST.
  • California State Licensed Electrician preferred.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple crews operating in various geographical areas.
  • Deep knowledge of building science, specifically roofing, water proofing, and finish trades.
  • History of safety management and risk mitigation.
  • Verifiable leadership qualities.
