Position Overview:        

The Solar PV Installer will install solar photovoltaic equipment at both residential and commercial jobsites. This position will be based out of our New Orleans, LA headquarters with up to 75% travel possible. We are seeking individuals with a strong construction trade background - especially roofing and/or electrical. Preference will be given to candidates having prior renewable energy related experience.

Responsibilities:             

  • Work with project manager and team leaders to assure proper understanding of project requirements.
  • Perform PV installations according to the standards set by Joule Energy.
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism, accuracy and customer service standards in the field.
  • Assist in company office and warehouse as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • OSHA 10 Certification is preferred, but not required
  • NABCEP certification is preferred, but not required
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from 2 year College or technical school; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working at a construction site
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 100 pounds
  • Have basic hand tools - a complete list of required tools will be presented prior to employment
  • Availability to work outside regular business hours
  • Clean driver's license

Compensation: Salary Range: $12 - $18 (Depending on Experience). Benefits: Health Insurance after 90 Days, Vacation, PTO
