Solar Energy Instructor

The University of Antelope Valley, located in Lancaster, CA, is currently seeking faculty for its Solar Technician Programs.

Qualifications:

• Technical expertise in solar design, installation, and solar technical sales as well as electrical, roofing, construction safety, construction and management.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 70E and OSHA Construction Safety Orders.
• Proficiency in installing all types of grid-tied inverters & able to work with various ground and roof mount racking systems.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of PV installation experience, including at least 6 months as a foreman. An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. NABCEP certification desired.
• Teaching experience is a plus.
• Must be very organized, with excellent problem solving ability, communication skills and be able to meet aggressive timeline.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proficient computer skills (basic Microsoft Excel and Word, at a minimum).
• Ability to work effectively in both a field and an office environment.
