Position Overview:
An inside solar sales representative who will use his/her solar photovoltaic (PV) knowledge to solicit and service solar distribution accounts (installers, contractors, dealers, architects, resellers) for the residential and commercial markets in the USA and internationally, for a growing renewable energy company (AGT) located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The successful candidate will be an experienced and successful solar distribution sales professional.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in product offering selection
- Develop and qualify target prospect list
- Source, solicit, sell, manage and maintain accounts
- Close unassigned leads
- Go on sales calls
- Identify local and regional events to drive leads
- Participate in business related trade shows and exhibitions
- Contact and qualify all leads resulting from trade shows and exhibitions.
- Coordinate with AGT Marketing on special lead generation programs.
- Contact and qualify all leads resulting from special marketing programs.
- Respond promptly to requests for information
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant incentives for solar PV systems
- Maintain current knowledge on all AGT solar products.
- Provide solar presentations to residential communities, trade associations and developers
- Source and develop new tools for selling solar PV.
- Proactively identify opportunities to use skills in other ways
- Other related duties as may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Education: University or College degree in a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years experience in a sales capacity with a solar distributor.
- Excellent analytical skills; able to think critically, analyze problems clearly and manage multiple variables
- Excellent presentation skills; able to create and present compelling information quickly and efficiently
- Ability to meet firm deadlines on a consistent basis
- Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently via electronic media.
- Extensive computer skills, including MS, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Travel as required
