Innovalight is dedicated to helping world class crystalline silicon cell manufacturers improve both the performance of their solar cells and their bottom line. Based in California's Silicon Valley, Innovalight has developed a portfolio of patented technologies and materials that allow current cell manufacturing companies to cost effectively produce solar cells with higher conversion efficiencies.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for processes used in the fabrication of innovative photovoltaic (PV) device structures based on Innovalight proprietary Silicon Ink. Activities involve working in state-of the-art PV Cells development lab and directing related experiment design, test and analysis.
The engineer in this role will be responsible for maintaining stable processes, calibrating production-level tools, and supporting process improvements and development of new processes as needed. Project works will include using standard processing techniques and operating process equipments for back-end segment of solar cells fabrication.
This person will work closely with the Cell Operations Team, PV Inks Development groups, and device Project Leads to enable high performance PV device structures. Close collaboration with commercial materials suppliers is also expected.
Qualifications:
M.S. degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or Materials Science + 2 years industrial experience (or Ph.D. new graduate).
Clear understanding of c-Si solar cell back-end process required. Hands-on experience on high-throughput industrial-scale PV tools is a definite plus. Some travel may be required. Experience in a project-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, required. Must display positive attitude and ability to quickly react to changing business demands, aggressive deadlines, and demanding hours in a fast paced environment.
Must have very good teamwork/interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively train others.
