DRI Energy occupies an exciting and rapidly expanding presence in the energy services industry. Increasing markets and company growth have led to the creation of the Solar Analyst. The position reports to DRI Energy's Executive Vice President and, depending on the selected candidate's preference, will be based in Irvine or San Leandro, California.
Position Overview:
The Solar Analyst will work with the Company's project development team to pursue new solar opportunities in the commercial and utility markets while utilizing analytical, financial and problem solving skills to create persuasive value propositions and financial pro formas for solar customers. The selected individual must be extremely motivated to be part of a fast-paced and developing company in this fast-growing industry, with the creative and critical thinking skills to tackle a variety of challenges that range from client-specific to industry-based.
Responsibilities:
- Market segmentation
- Prepare client presentations and project proposals
- Evaluate client solar projects, including: a) Analyzing client energy data, b) Determining the best available technology, c) Creating financial analytics and cost savings, d) Assessing economic viability and options to increase margin
- Interface with Design, Construction, Structured Finance and Product Management for ideal system design and component selection
- Increase effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development of new systems and structures
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or above, preferably in business or finance
- Strong analytical skills
- Financial modeling experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong insight into value proposition and customer needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solar or renewable energy experience
- Understanding of energy and utility tariffs
- PPA or other structured financing skills
