Software Developer

GridPoint Inc. is looking for an experienced developer to join our engineering team. We are a small company with a startup culture that has seen rapid expansion in the past year. We have product offerings in a wide range of exciting areas including electric vehicle management, energy management, solar integration, and more.

Position Overview:

This position is in the server team responsible for delivering the core services for all our products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deliver high quality code
• Help the team come up with and implement scalable solutions for all of GridPoint's data and analytics needs
• Work closely with and communicate well with other team members
• Work with cool technology! Cassandra, Hazelcast, OSGI, Grails, custom hardware

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
• Expert grasp of object oriented software development
• Enjoy tackling new problems and can produce quality code
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong understanding of parallel programming
• Proficient with Unix/Linux
• Experience with some or all of the following a plus: Java, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, Spring, OSGi, Maven, Grails, web services, Rails
• Experience with agile development a plus
